The Guide boss route begins well before the boss arena. Current walkthroughs send players through a lobby hatch, train hazard, Potato Lord encounter, maze, stairs, and cabin lever into Where Guide Resides. Clicking the knife at The Guide’s tombstone under spawn awards court evidence; it is not the full boss entrance.
Route to the cabin
Find the current hatch near the lobby portals and follow the live prompt to enter. Cross the train section carefully; independent walkthroughs describe using glove positioning to avoid the train, but controls and collision should be verified in the current build. Continue through the corridor and bridge toward Potato Lord.
Defeat Potato Lord, pass through the opened archway, and navigate the maze toward the large hall and stairs. Enter the cabin and use the lever to begin the boss sequence. Keep the route goal clear: movement and survival matter more than rushing an unfamiliar room.
Phase one: learn the Slapstractor cycle
The maintained Where Guide Resides page documents an ordered cycle based on familiar glove attacks: Replica-style clones, Pusher walls, Track projectiles, meteors, Conveyor, Kraken, and Golem. Learn the order before trying to maximize damage.
Track projectiles are documented as redirectable damage against the Slapstractor. Face them with room behind you, slap at a readable distance, and move away from the follow-up hazard. Destroy the Golem with coordinated slaps while the targeted player circles safely. Do not jump into Pusher pressure if the current attack punishes it.
Phase two: faster combined pressure
Community documentation says the enraged Slapstractor repeats the cycle with reduced gaps and changed counts. Keep the same response vocabulary—clones, walls, tracks, meteors, conveyor, Kraken, Golem—but shorten movement and avoid crossing teammates.
Damage still comes from the mechanic the fight exposes, not random aggression. Preserve hearts for the final stage. If the group repeatedly wipes here, assign one player to call the next attack and another to watch projectiles rather than having everyone chase damage.
Phase three: The Guide
After the Slapstractor falls, The Guide enters and uses direct slaps, movement resembling Flash, and falling spikes marked by ground warnings. Move before a warning fills, keep the camera ready for a teleport, and slap during the boss’s recovery rather than swinging at the last position.
Community pages describe player-count scaling and a final choice after Guide is defeated. Exact health and scaling are dynamic; use the current bar and cutscene. Keep enough space to respond to a teleport without walking into another falling spike.
Choose the reward before the run
Saving and killing Guide are documented as different badge branches associated with A Guiding Hand and Bounty Claimed and different glove rewards. Decide which the account needs before the final prompt. Record the exact current wording rather than relying on memory.
Avatar’s Nah, I’d win badge is a separate restricted completion. Current sources agree that it requires a solo run without teammates, the extra heart, or Cube of Life regeneration. Sources differ on whether the final choice is decisive, so check the live badge text and see the Badge Chains guide before attempting Avatar.
Common failure points
- Confusing court evidence with the boss entrance.
- Entering the train section without understanding the live prompt.
- Getting lost after Potato Lord because the maze goal is unclear.
- Ignoring the Slapstractor’s attack order.
- Slapping Track projectiles from an unsafe angle.
- Spending hearts to force damage in phase two.
- Taking restricted recovery during an Avatar attempt.
- Selecting a final choice before checking the desired badge.
Retry plan
After a death, note the exact room or attack. If the game applies a re-entry wait, use the visible timer and review that step. For a group run, reduce crossed movement and assign attack calls. For a solo restricted run, practice the ordinary route first with recovery aids before attempting the badge conditions.
Do not use a script, teleport exploit, or boss glitch. The official experience warns of permanent bans, and an invalid run may fail to award the badge even if the boss disappears.
Sources and video choice
The maintained Guide page, Where Guide Resides, and current Avatar walkthrough support this route. No video is embedded because the available visual sources did not add a clearly current, version-labeled walkthrough beyond these written mechanics.
